Wood Slat and Soft Panel Home Cinema

Warm timber slats alternate with deep charcoal fabric absorbers to create an immersive home cinema with balanced decay, precise surround imaging and a refined architectural finish.

Primary acoustic problem

What the space needed to control

Multiple loudspeakers in a long, enclosed cinema generate strong side-wall and rear-wall reflections. Without coordinated treatment, these reflections cause comb filtering, blurred dialogue and unstable surround localization, while excessive absorption in only one frequency range can leave the room sounding uneven or unnaturally dead.

Installed solution

How the system addresses it

Alternating timber slat modules and deep fabric-faced absorbers provide a balanced mix of reflection control and broadband absorption along both side walls. The soft panels manage early reflections around the seating rows, while the slatted surfaces preserve useful high-frequency energy and add scattering. Carpeted floors and a treated dark ceiling further reduce decay for clear dialogue and consistent cinematic sound across both rows.
